All the lower school classes have been having fun learning our Thanksgiving repertoire. Here are some highlights, grade by grade. Here is one of our K classes performing a traditional song, Shoo Turkey, with our bells and woodblocks. Our first grades demonstrate an instrument activity they learned to a piece called "Five Fat Turkeys," first with rhythms sticks, and then a more difficult version with hand drums and woodblocks. Here is second grade singing "A Turkey Ran Away." Third grade sings a favorite, "The Gobble Song." And here's fourth grade wishing everyone a "Happy Thanksgiving."

Today our Lower School Choir sang "Proud of our Veterans" as part of our Veterans Day commemoration at Flag. They did a lovely job! |
Sara R. FuldI have been teaching lower school music at KSDS since the fall of 2004. I received a BA and MAT from Goucher College and have been certified by the State of Maryland to teach both Elementary Education and Music K-12. When I'm not teaching, you might see me running up Greenetree Road, biking through Stevenson, and sitting in the stands at Ravens and O's games. Archives
