Last Tuesday evening, the first grade held it's annual World Fair, a celebration of what they have learned about countries around the world. We learned songs from many different places for this program, but one of their favorites was not from a foreign country, but from our own very American state of Hawaii. Because this song, called Ku'ula'a, spotlights Hawaii's unique native language and culture, we felt it still fit well with the objectives of the program. Also, it's just so much fun to sing.

Back in December, the choir debuted its first music video ever in celebration of Chanukah. This went so well that we were inspired to try it again this spring. We had been practicing the song "One Day" by Mattisyahu to sing in concert, and Morah Ali Hassan, who has been assisting us all year, thought it would make a great video. She coordinated all the elements you see in the video below, including the filming and the amazing final edit. Enjoy!
