Our Kindergarten classes love Pesach time. We sing traditional Seder tunes like Dayenu, contemporary American songs such as Peter and Ellen Allard's Lotsa Matzah, and melodies that are part of the Passover tradition in Israel. Here, we are showing our instrumental rhythm skills while singing Simcha Rabbah.

Since returning from winter break, our second grade has been quite busy in music. First, we learned all about the families of instruments that make up the orchestra in a multi-week curriculum involving audio, video, and a web-based learning game. As soon as that was completed, we began to rehearse songs for our Fairy Tale Play. Here we are, performing our Frog Prince Song.

Sara R. FuldI have been teaching lower school music at KSDS since the fall of 2004. I received a BA and MAT from Goucher College and have been certified by the State of Maryland to teach both Elementary Education and Music K-12. When I'm not teaching, you might see me running up Greenetree Road, biking through Stevenson, and sitting in the stands at Ravens and O's games. Archives
